Dharwad, Oct. 2: Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti were celebrated at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Sattur.
- Kannada teacher Sri Madhava delivered an insightful lecture on the life and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi. He highlighted the challenges Gandhiji faced, his principles, and his pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle.
- As part of ‘Swadeshi Saptaha’ (Swadeshi Week), teacher Sri Lakshmisha spoke about the importance of adopting Swadeshi products and using locally manufactured goods and traditional clothing. He emphasised that choosing Swadeshi products helps encourage local artisans, farmers, and industries, while also strengthening the spirit of self-reliance.
- In his presidential address, Principal Sri Ramakrishna recalled the values and ideals of Gandhiji and Shastriji, encouraging everyone to practice these values in their daily lives.
- Following the program, a cleanliness drive was organised on the school campus. Teaching and non-teaching staff actively participated in cleaning the premises and spreading the message of cleanliness and responsibility.
- To highlight the importance of healthy traditional food and the consumption of local grains, the event concluded with the arrangement of an indigenous millet-based breakfast for all staff members.
ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಅ. 2: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾಕೇಂದ್ರ – ಸತ್ತೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಜಯಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಲಾಲ್ ಬಹದ್ದೂರ್ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ಜಯಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
- ಕನ್ನಡ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಮಾಧವ ಅವರು ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರ ಜೀವನ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರು ಎದುರಿಸಿದ ಸವಾಲುಗಳು, ಅವರ ತತ್ವಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಭಾರತದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರ ಮಹತ್ತರ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿ ತೋರಿಸಿದರು.
- ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ಸಪ್ತಾಹದ ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ, ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಲಕ್ಷ್ಮೀಶ ಅವರು ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯವಾಗಿ ತಯಾರಿಸಿದ ವಸ್ತುಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಬಟ್ಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸುವ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕುಶಲಕರ್ಮಿಗಳು, ರೈತರು ಮತ್ತು ಕೈಗಾರಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಲು ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವಾವಲಂಬನೆಯ ಮನೋಭಾವವನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಲು ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
- ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಮಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೀಯ ಭಾಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಜಿಯವರ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಆದರ್ಶಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ದೈನಂದಿನ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಮೌಲ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪಾಲಿಸುವಂತೆ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.
- ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಂತರ, ಶಾಲಾ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತಾ ಅಭಿಯಾನವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಬೋಧಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬೋಧಕೇತರ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಆವರಣವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಗೊಳಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತೆ ಮತ್ತು ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಯ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪಸರಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕ್ರಿಯವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡರು.
- ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕರ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಆಹಾರ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಧಾನ್ಯಗಳ ಬಳಕೆಯ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ಸಾರುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗದವರಿಗೆ ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ಸಿರಿಧಾನ್ಯ ಆಧಾರಿತ ಉಪಹಾರದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಸಂಪನ್ನಗೊಂಡಿತು.
