Dharwad, October 2: The birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri was celebrated today herein Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Sattur. Students recounted the biographies and sacrifices of Gandhiji and Shastri. Bhajans on Gandhiji and Shastri and patriotic songs were sung during the program. Correspondent Sri Gururaj Agadi explained some important events in the lives of Gandhiji and Shastri, the significance of their sacrifices and struggles. Students organized a cleanliness drive and cleaned the school premises to make Gandhi Jayanti meaningful.
ಧಾರವಾಡ, ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್ 2: ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೋತ್ಥಾನ ವಿದ್ಯಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರ, ಸತ್ತೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ಮಹಾತ್ಮ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಲಾಲ್ ಬಹದ್ದೂರ್ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಯವರ ಜಯಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಯವರ ಜೀವನ ಚರಿತ್ರೆ ಮತ್ತು ತ್ಯಾಗದ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸ್ಮರಿಸಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ವೇಳೆ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಯವರ ಕುರಿತಾದ ಭಜನೆಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ದೇಶಭಕ್ತಿ ಗೀತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಶಾಲೆಯ ಕರೆಸ್ಪಾಂಡೆಂಟ್ ಶ್ರೀ ಗುರುರಾಜ್ ಅಗಡಿಯವರು, ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿಯವರ ಜೀವನದ ಕೆಲ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನು, ಅವರ ತ್ಯಾಗ ಮತ್ತು ಹೋರಾಟದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಗಾಂಧಿ ಜಯಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿಸಲು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಸಿ, ಶಾಲಾ ಆವರಣವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಚ್ಛಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು.
